Aloe vera is a succulent plant which is a native plant of North America. It is widely known for its medicinal properties from a long time ago. Used for various treatments, It has a lot of benefits and is most commonly used for skin treatments.
It is used in skin cosmetic products but its health benefits are not just limited to skin. It is also very beneficial for our digestive system. Aloe is rich in vitamins and antioxidants and contains anti-bacterial properties.

Aloe vera can prevent and treat skin diseases like erythema, sunburns and psoriasis etc.

Uses of Aloe vera
Aloe vera mask for oily skin
This mask can help you get rid of oily skin with a very simple home remedy. Oily skin can cause various skin problems like acne and allergies so you must try this. Take 8-10 drops of aloe vera gel in a bowl (either use ready-made gel or fresh aloe vera gel from your garden), mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice with aloe vera gel and make a thick paste. Apply this face mask on your face to the neck, keep it on for about 2-3 hours then wash your face with lukewarm water. You can do this 2-3 times a week and it will help you to get rid of oily skin along with acne.
Aloe vera for dry skin
Dry facial can be caused due to various reasons such as environmental factors or lack of nutrients in the diet. Dry skin usually looks very rough and feel very itching. Here is a simple yet effective remedy with which you can nourish your skin. Then take 8-10 drops of aloe vera gel in a bowl, add 1-2 teaspoons of honey along with 4-5 teaspoons of grinned cucumber.
After that mix all ingredients well to make a thick paste. Now apply this paste all over your face to the neck and allow this to stay on your face for 25-30 minutes. It will nourish and hydrate your skin with vitamins and minerals. You can also repeat this twice or thrice a week to prevent skin dryness.
Improve your digestion
Aloe vera juice can be very beneficial for the digestive system. It cures constipation, gastric ulcers and helps the liver to detox. Here is a simple recipe to prepare it’s juice at home. Take about 2-3 teaspoons of its juice in a glass (either readymade or fresh from garden). Now add 1 cup of orange juice or any other juice of your choice in aloe vera juice and mix them well. You can add ice cubes and sugar as per your taste.
Aloe Vera Side effects
Aloe vera is in use throughout the world for its amazing health benefits and it does not have any permanent side effect. But excessive intake of its juice may cause diarrhea or other stomach problems. So it is advisable to consume only a recommended dose of its juice.
