There are 2-3 ways to make them and one is by adding milk-made or condensed milk in it. In this coconut ladoo recipe you will be using fresh cream instead of that. I have used green food color to make them more interesting but it's completely your choice to use it or not. Nariyal laddu is basically a round or ball shaped indian sweet. You can also add milkmaid and khoya in it. For sweetness, you can add sugar syrup, sugar, jaggery or brown sugar in it. Here, you'll find powdered sugar in place of sugar syrup in this recipe for coconut ladoo.

Recipe Ingredients

First of all, check if you have all the necessary ingredients for this recipe. Pay attention to the quantities!
  • Nariyal Burada/ Desiccated Coconut :- 2 cup
  • Powdered Sugar :- 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder :- ½ tsp
  • Cream :- ½ cup
  • Edible Color :- 3 drops
  • Milk :- 2 tsp
  • Cashew nuts/Almonds for garnish

Recipe Instructions

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!
  1. Heat a pan and add 1/2 a cup of cream, nariyal burada (desiccated coconut) in it. Stir it continuously on low flame till it becomes light brown. Then add cardamom powder and mix it well. Let it cool down for some time.

  2. After it comes to the right temperature (cooled down), add powdered sugar in it and mix the edible color with milk into that mixture. Now you need to do the most funniest step, make ladoos (small round balls) with your hand.

  3. Garnish them with some Almonds or Cashew nuts on the top. Enjoy these yummy ladoos with your family and friends!
