Add half cup of sugar in a pan and turn on the flame. Spread it evenly and let it melt slowly. Keep the sugar in the center of pan.
Don't let the sugar stick to the corners. Spread it but do not stir. Completely caramelize it. It is an 8-10 minute process. Then it will start making bubbles.
Next add 1/2 cup of water in it. Stir the caramel now. Then add the salt and the vinegar in it.
Stir it continuously and let it cook till it reduces to half in the pan. The sauce is ready. Keep it in a bottle or jar in a cool and dry place.
